AW23-1 Beginner Stained Glass
with Thea Alvin
In this beginner workshop, students will be guided through the entire process of creating a small stained glass project including tools and usage, safety practices, design and techniques used. Students will explore the design process for stained glass and create patterns - first with straight line cuts and then work toward more complicated designs. Working with both color and clear glass, students will learn the copper foil technique used, soldering and the finishing process. In addition, students will have an opportunity to discuss glass repair, and other items that can be fabricated such as lamps, jewelry, and jewelry boxes.
Instructor Thea Alvin is an experienced stained glass artist also well known for her amazing stonework arches and sculptures. Learn more at: https://www.myearthwork.com/
