Memoir Writing; Telling Your Story

Have you always thought about telling your story by writing a memoir but need help getting started? Then, join Erika Nichols-Frazer, author of the memoir FEED ME: A Story of Food, Love and Mental Illness (Casper Press, Dec. 2022) for this informative workshop. Learn basic principles and common themes of memoirs, look at and discuss sample excerpts, and write with prompts to generate ideas from participants' lives. There will be time for anyone who wants to share what they've written and get feedback from the instructor and each other.

This workshop will be held at a favorite spot for book lovers; Bridgeside Books on Stowe Street in Waterbury. Surround yourself with books and other writers and get inspired! Participants should bring their preferred choice of writing materials; pen/paper/journal/ or tablet for this class.

Open to adults & teens 14+
